Infrastructure: Launch of “Restart Meghalaya Mission’ on 15th August 2020
Under the “Restart Meghalaya Mission”, the following initiatives in Infrastructure have been
- Total Investment of 7453 Crore committed over the next 3 years for infrastructure development
- 13 major roads covering a length of about 350kms will be constructed at an estimated cost of 850 Crore
- Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) to all 5,89,000 rural households in the State by 2022.
- 22.5 Megawatt Ganol Hydro Electric Project will be completed in the next 2 years
- Tura and Jowai will be developed as Smart Towns with an investment of 50 Crore each.
